Tell us all about where you shop on the IOW, or even if you don’t! Share your favourite farm shops or supermarkets…

Can’t say I never go to the supermarket - that would be a porky - but when I do I try to use Co-op, especially the Southern branches as they stock IOW produce and just do one whopper shop at Morrisons a month.

Norris stores in Niton offer lots of local lines also.

Made on the IOW on the outskirts of Ryde is a great one stop shop for locally made food and gifts.
Fields nursery in Niton good home grown food and the cafe is lovely
The farm near Carisbrooke castle is great for eggs, they always have some with an honesty box smile
Calbourne Classics - divine

Too many to mentions really, those are some of my faves!

Co-op in Cowes is my local, plus our fish shop, Hamilton’s butchers & the new bread shop for special occasions.

I love the Briddlesford Lodge Farm shop & Bluebell cafe, the honey from Quarr Abbey and anything from Calbourne Classics (sold at the The Dairy Deli Farm Shop, Shalfleet).

Anything local gets my vote - I choose to eat in places which serve it over those which don’t.

I buy my vegetables from Ryde House Nursery - they mainly stock only season items (apart from fruit where they have bananas etc) and the price of a weekly veg shop is normally about £6, which seems incredibly cheap!

We normally buy our meat from Briddlesford or if we are over that way Brownriggs who quite often do 3 for 2 offers at the weekend.

Unfortunately I do go to the supermarket (but normally the Co-op) to buy staples like pasta, rice etc, but that is because they seem rather more expensive at the Farm shops and my budget can’t quite stretch that far!

There are tons of places where you can pick up eggs/honey/surplus veg from out the front of people’s houses which I love! There’s even a place in Fishbourne that sells Quails eggs!
